Increasingly we see the isolation of Israel. Her neighboring countries want Israel to disappear from the face of the Earth. We see Israel increasingly more, and more alone, with no one standing with her, lending their support. The Bible says that there will come a day when Israel’s only ally will be the Church of Jesus Christ. “Pray for the peace of Jerusalem”, does not only mean that we pray for there to be no war, nor violence for there to be peace. It also means that we pray for the love of God to be so deeply rooted in the lives of the Jews in Jerusalem, that they will understand that this peace can only be achieved by knowing the Prince of Peace, and by knowing that He is with them. Pray for the “peace that surpasses all understanding” to be a part of their everyday lives. (Isaiah 9:6 New American Standard Bible (NASB) 6 For a child will be born to us, a son will be given to us; And the government will [a]rest on His shoulders; And His name will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Eternal Father, Prince of Peace).
